My 2.5 cents: The AAFC would bring many new innovations to the game before sending three teams to the NFL (Baltimore Colts, Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco Forty Niners). The helmets represented here are of the pre-"logo on the helmet" era. Some of the logos, incredibly detailed as they are, probably would have not been used today. Too busy! Still I think they are some of the best ever! Classics!

Best AAFC helmet: Without logos they are all similar, so I will concentrate on the logos. And what fantastic logos they are! The Chicago Hornets and the Los Angeles Dons (little Don running with the ball) are just terrific! How about the Forty Niners and the Brooklyn Dodgers (skinny guy with the football--looks like he came from a Looney Tunes cartoon!)?

Worst AAFC helmet: The plain white of the Cleveland Browns and Miami Seahawks doesn't do much for me. At least give me a stripe!
